my lord, why am i always pushing you
my lord, why does your fence electrocute
my lord, if heaven is free to get in
then my lord, why is your guest book so thin

still i try and i fight
and if i might get out of line

each night before i go to bed i pray for peace
when i awake i shake my head and count all my bad dreams
