I Thought She Was a Goth Songtext

Well I thought I'd take her out for a lovely night on the town
I picked her up at midnight she was dressed in a black leather gown
Thought I'd compliment her as a good way to start the date
I said "you look like a corpse who just crawled out of the grave."
And she never said a word, she just stared off into space
With unblinking eyes behind her pasty white face

I thought she was a goth, but it turned out she was dead
I thought she was a goth, but it turned out she was dead
I thought that she was just a goth, but she'd been dead all along

The first date went well, and so did the second and third
I thought she really liked me, even if she never said a word
She only had one dress, but goth gear ain't exactly cheap
But she soon began to stink and my flesh began to creep
There were lots of little clues that should have tipped me off
But none of that's unusual when you go out with goths!

I thought she was a goth, but it turned out she was dead
I thought she was a goth, but it turned out she was dead
I thought that she was just a goth, but she'd been dead all along

And dead people got no reason to live
I said dead people got no reason to live
Yes dead people got no
Reason
To
Live
